Don't buy one then lol

Just don't buy alts. Follow the rules and you won't get banned, meaning you won't need to buy alts. Alts can be a serious scam.

Because some people don't have $30...?

Plus buying alts in bulk is usually a good deal if you're not a complete idiot and if you know what you're doing. I've gotten 20 alts for $7, which is a fantastic deal. They're just nice to have.

$30?
I live in the UK. It costs £17.99. From what I know from basic logic, I don't think they're going to be equal in money.

If you buy an alt and find that it's ip banned, then good job. Alts aren't exactly.. reliable. They could be banned anywhere.

Alt are useful for reasons, say, someone's hacked your main account and you need to get online in order to catch them, etc. But alts aren't as reliable as real accounts, even if they are more money.

I got an alt, only because it was my dads account. Also, when we got them they were only about 20 dollars.

Buying Alts from illegal/ rip off websites or people is never a good idea, from my own experiences I got Into a bad friendship where this guy bribed me into buying him an optifine cape for 100 Alts, which I did and I got the Alts like he promised, but the alts were people's accounts which they used, these people/websites usually hack into people's accounts and basically sell the hacked accounts for money, but it's easy for the owner of the account to change the password = waste of money. I've had my account sold before and yea, its not fun xd

That's why you get private alts, or ones that you can change the email on. They cost more money than a public alt, but they're still cheaper than a normal Minecraft account that you buy from the store.
Your problem is that you got bribed and you didn't go to a middleman. Use trusted sites that have trusted sellers, and always do research on whoever you're buying from. My experiences were good, and it's very easy for a transaction to go wrong. That's why you should always be careful.

The point of an alt is to act as a backup, or alternate account. Obviously your main account should always be one that you've purchased full price.
And sure, they could be banned anywhere. Most the time, they aren't due to buyer protection guarantees. Plus, servers aren't going to go out of their way to figure out that you're on an alt unless you actually did something wrong. The "no alts" rules on server is to prevent punishment evasions and getting extra kits or in-game rewards.
