Okay, before we begin, two things.
1) I was told I can probably say the website, so it's called Wattpad. Yeah, there's that.
2) Can we just take this time to admire someone actually commented this on Wattpad on my prologue!
"Wow, just wow. Consider me totally engrossed in your story. It leaves me wanting more: Who are these people? Why are they running and what did they do to have guards chasing them? Why am I taking the time to comment when I should be continuing to read because this is such a good book so far?"
Anyway, with that out of the way lets go I guess! xD

Fae's Point of View
---------------------------
I woke up in a cold sweat, panting uncontrollably. I had had a dream so vivid I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't still in it. Just a dream, thank god, I thought, letting out a breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding.
After recovering from my nightmare, I took a few more deep breaths and got up, going over to the cream colour curtains and opening them along with the Tudor windows. I hopped up onto the windowsill and sat on it, my back leaning on the wall. My raven hair whipped my face, reminding me of my nightmare, where the wind made strands of my hair blow into me. I looked out at the sun, which was just rising above from the ground, painting the sky sunrise like an artist would paint a canvas. I gazed into the pleasant colours, which seemed to be almost beckoning to me.
I've had always had a bond with the sunrise, I couldn't explain it to you. I've loved it since childhood, often getting up early just to sit and watch it. It felt as if my soul was at rest somehow, I don't know. Casting my gaze away from the sky, I looked down, at the village that I had called home for almost six years. Adori; A secluded and rural village, far from any large towns. It was a place where folk were friendly, views were spellbinding, and forests were plentiful and bore many fruits in the hotter seasons. Adori had been coated in yet another white sheet of snow overnight, which was no surprise, we had had loads of snow that winter.
As I thought about this, a flake of snow came tumbling from the sky, landing on my nose. I smiled, and tried to look at it, but that only made me go crosseyed. I thought about the nightmare I had. Me and my siblings had been running away from the Royal Guard for some reason, and they had been catching up. The Royal Guard were a large part of the military that were dedicated to going from village to village, making sure everything was in order. Because in order to them is making sure everyone was still poor, and taking everyone's valuables.
In the dream, me and the others were just about to be caught. We looked at each other, knowing that our only hope was for one of us to be the diversion and probably die. We weren't sure who would do it until they decided for their self. They-
But my thoughts were interrupted as I heard a sound from my parent's room next door. They were getting up. I swiftly jumped off of the windowsill, making more noise than I had intended to. I silently hoped mum and dad hadn't heard it. I shut the windows and pulled the curtains in, climbing the ladder back to my bunk. If my parents knew that I just sat and watched the sunrise every other morning, they would probably freak out, which was overprotective of them for sure. I was fifteen, surely my parents could trust me enough to balance on a large ledge by a window that had a pretty small drop. It wasn't like it was a cliff or anything, in fact, it was only twenty-five feet or so, not even scary. Then again, it might be because of what happened when they adopted me.
They weren't my real parents, no, my real parents couldn't be more different. When I was eight, me and my older brother Casper had been wandering the village streets alone when a couple called Adam and Willow saw us. Concerned that we weren't with our parents I assume, Adam asked Casper where his mother and father was, to which he had responded stubbornly: "I don't know and I don't care!" The rest was history. It was a huge legal mess, but in the end, me and Casper were adopted by Adam and Willow, who had already adopted two children a few years back; A comedic duo known as Laurel and Aza.
Speaking of Laurel and Aza, I checked to see if either of them were awake. On the bottom bunk (Aza and Laurel had an oak bunk bed which was identical to Casper's and mine), Laurel was spread out like a starfish, her blonde hair spread out wildly on her pillow. I giggled childishly. On the other hand (or bed in their case), Aza was awake, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
"Morning." I greeted her. She had long, chocolate brown hair which she normally wore in a ponytail. Her eyes were the colour of a clear blue sky, and she had fantastically long eyelashes. She was beautiful, anyone would say so.
"Hey there Fae, how long you been awake for?" Aza asked me.
"About fifteen minutes I would guess," I replied casually.
"Where's the sun at?"
"Just finished rising."
"Your kidding!"
"What?" I asked, confused as to why the time was so incredible
"How did I get up so early?! I usually get up hours after this!" Of course, should've known.
"Oh, sorry, that might have been me. I was jumping down from the windowsill." I apologised, "Mum and dad are up by the way." I added.
"It's cool. Should we go down and eat breakfast? There won't be any porridge left for these sleepy heads by the time I'm done with it!"
"You can't really call them that, you usually sleep in half an hour longer than anyone else does." I pointed out. I wasn't even exaggerating, Aza was NOT a morning person, and I doubted she ever would be.
"Oh yeah? Well guess what? I just did, now c'mon, let's go!" Aza retorted, jumping off of her bed and hitting the floor right by Laurel, which miraculously didn't wake her up. It awoke Casper though. He shouted, sitting up and hitting his head on the oak as he did so. I felt his pain before I heard it, as the bash made my mattress bounce up. Casper groaned, though whether this was in pain or annoyance was anyone's guess. I would have to say the latter, he was too strong for something as small as bashing his head on oak to faze him. He looked over at Aza with a look that could only mean one thing: You. Are. Dead!
Casper practically flew out of his bed, running for Aza in a grace that could only be achieved by someone half-awake. Aza, seeing her situation, screeched and ran out of the door and onto the landing, darting for the stairs. Casper was, of course, hot on her trail. I watched the conundrum unfold with an amused look on my face. Aza had yet to learn the lesson that I had known for years; Don't mess with Casper in the morning. In her defence, it had been an accident. Oh well, I thought. I suppose I may as well wake Laurel up now.

Yeah, it's long as heck I know. And guess what? Chapter two is even longer! xD
