Spleef

General Idea
Everyone has a shovel that can instantly destroy and snow broken by it. You try and make other people fall to the four levels below the the level you start on, then to the lava below that. If you stay on a snow block for more than 3 seconds, the snow below you disappears. Every 3 seconds you receive a snowball on your bar. You can right click your shovel and throw the snowball, they can destroy snow blocks and knock back people.

Solo Mode
Each player starts in their own compartment, they have 10 step on a pressure plate near the exit. Once every person has stepped on the plate, or the 10 seconds are up, the game shall start with a 3 second countdown. (Insert general idea here)

Team Mode

Each team starts out in their own compartment, they have 10 seconds to both stand on the pressure plates near the two exits. The gameplay is the same as solo, only there are three rounds. The team with the most points wins! One point for 3rd, two for 2nd, and three for 1st. You can spleef your own team mate, but it is not recommended if you want to win.

Map Stuff/Player Amounts/Other Specifics. (mainly for devs and people who want to build maps)
The solo maps would be a minimum 25 x 25 (625 blocks) playing area, maximum 35 x 35 (1225 blocks).
The team maps would be a minimum 30 x 30 (900 blocks) playing area, maximum 45 x 45 (2025 blocks).
The maps can be any shape, as long as it is within the area.
Individual compartments for solo would be about 7 x 7 minimum, 9 x 9 maximum (preferably boxes).

Minimum of four players for solo, maximum of eight.
Minimum of six players for team mode, maximum of ten (must be even numbers). Two members per team.

This is a very common game, and even with the originality boosts, I don't feel it would fit. -1

As said above its a common game and Mcpz/PartyZone wants unique type of games

As stated above, partyzone wants unique games, and since this is a very common game on servers, I don't think this would become very popular. However, perhaps if you put a partyzone twist on it, then maybe this suggestion could work better. Spleef with a snowy theme is pretty common so maybe you could suggest using different type of blocks? Or maybe there could be a few structures maybe 1 or 2 blocks higher than the 1 block layer so players could jump up on obstacles? These are a few ideas.

As much as I love Spleef, Party Zone wants a unique game so try adding a twist to the game to make it more fit for Pz. c:

Not unique, mentioned so many times ago, pressure plate system lends itself to trolling way too much with afk/"afk" players, use creative for it instead.

No survival in creative. I would though.

You can't easily make spleen unique, and it's really not on too many servers any more, it's just a common game. Ditto isn't unique to PZ. I remember watching SkyDoesMinecraft (or someone...) playing a very similar game. DG is on another server only titled differently and with animals.

I've never seen downgrade anywhere else, nor have I ever seen ditto anywhere else, Spleef however is a popular game which is on quite a few servers still, which makes this game not very unique.

Spleef: Any server can set it up in a few minutes, possibly seconds, and is even featured still on a most of the giant servers in one form or another.

Downgrade: A passing similarity to another minigame that is negligible, as the current version is a total revamp of a previously abandoned game.

Ditto: Similar to another game, but somewhat different where instead of just pre-built things only, there is a chance for some original designs, also is 2D instead of 3D.

The version I saw was actually 2d.

Have any of you been in a game of spleef with a team mate? Have any of you fallen, not because you were spleefed, but because you stood still too long?

Team spleef still isn't original, still a handful of places that do/have done this :p

As stated above by many, the way you described how this would work is not very original.
Could there be kits for the game? Will people be able to jump? Will players be able to break the floor consecutively or after short time periods? Power-ups (jump boost etc.) to make it more interesting? Maybe emeralds (or another item) scattered around that people have to collect to win the game? Will there be a ranking system and the higher the rank you are you get better tools to break the floor faster etc. as well as exclusive cosmetics? If you're going to suggest a fairly common game that's on a wide range of networks and isn't very unique, you need to suggest additions to the game itself making it different from all the rest. You need to think of things that'll make the game more interesting, and make people want to play again and again.

I can think of an idea making this unique. Instead of having just classic rounds every time. Every game could be a new type of Spleef such as "Team Death match." "Last team standing wins" or "Team with the most deaths loses the game." (Also for trollers you can spot them because they would just be jumping off the edge and video proof would be needed to report them, or just chat spamming them with "ExampleUser has died" with screen shot proof.) and there is Death match, its just like team death match but without any teams. Another interesting mode for this would be "Scavenger Hunt" "Collect as many gems and resources before time runs out." If you die you would wait 5 seconds for a respawn and while people are looking for these ores/drops. The area would also regenerate spawning new resources and Snow (Or another good block for shovels) for more people to find. And another thing could be cosmetics. Similar to Downgrade and Murder, people can buy Pre-Made looks and different types of armour and blocks for them self, and obviously, armour does not give you added protection.

That's just my suggestion on how this could be a bit more unique.

Meh. It would be cool to have a "floor-is-lava" game with Spleef elements. +0, I'll stay indifferent until tweaked to be more original and different.

Like Ninja said, it wouldn't fit PartyZone. Partyzone wnats original..and spleef..just isn't.
