I realize this is a thing on other servers, but let me explain.

Also spleef is a working name as it is just similar to spleef.

How it would work

Everyone (Requires 12, no more no less. More people can join as spectators and if someone leaves the spectator will take their place) starts out in their own area, with a shovel. After 5 seconds the game starts it goes into different rounds.

Round one - speed:
The first eight people to break 25 snow blocks move on to the next round. If someone falls into the lava during this round they go out.

Round two - kills:

The eight people are pinned against each other, if someone is spleefed, they are out. If you spleef someone then you go into the next round, but you are out for the rest of that round. Four people move on.

Round three - Last man standing:

Back to basic spleef. Everyone is pinned against each other again and the last man standing wins.

Other ideas for this

The amount of people for this game can change for special occasions (PZ anniversary, Easter, Christmas, ect.)
This could also be something like build battle.

Spleef is just simply a dead game mode in general. Show me one good server who has a massive player-base for spleef. Every time a server has a spleef gamemode, it is one of their least played games. Not something that needs to be added here imo. If you really wanted spleef go play it on some dead server. RIP spleef days 2013

Well then why not enhance it a bit more?

They receive picks and lose their shovels. They go out again until a certain percentage of the stone is gone or a minute has passed because below the stone is dirt. Everyone is teleported back again and loses their pickaxes. Then everyone goes out and tries to spleef the players around them. They receive speed if they broke 50 snow blocks and jump boost if they broke 25 stone blocks.

Other ideas for this

This could be turned into a tournament for special occasions like the PZ anniversary and Christmas and stuff like that.

I would love to have something like this yet it needs to change a bit to make it different and "new".

Suggestion! Instead of everyone seeing each other they have to mine in random areas on the 10×10 area. Instead of spleef make it blind spleef. Guessing where everyone is and when it is going to be hit.

How it works! The 10x10 area is filled with snow with walls at all sides. Such as the hide players thing it will do just that. Then you start digging in random areas in which a person could be there.

I myself happen to really enjoy Spleef and gamemodes similar in structure to it. The only reason I don't play Spleef anymore is that that they're all the same. If there was a new one with different characteristics and such- I'd be totally down to play it.

I agree spleef may be fun to play however it isn't exactly unique to the server. We need unique games here.

So if I understand... you start at 12, 4 people are eliminated in round 1, 2 peoples disappear between rounds 1 and 2 and the 6 remaining have to kill 2 peoples. For the round 3, it's the last man standing.

Am I right ?

Thats why we can make it new/fresh. Not just giving it a thumbs down.

I was wrong, people should not have disappeared. It is fixed now.

Start with 12. 4 people are eliminated (round 1). 4 more are eliminated (round 2). Then last man standing. :3
 
Another thing though, an elite or an elite+ could easily set up a highly functional spleef arena in creative- If you don't fear the potential of getting greifed, but if you make the arena of basic design. But a fully dedicated gamemode could be nice

I dunno, I'm on the fence on this one +0

Yes but people could easily fly. Even if its only a two block high area.

good point, but you could also make flying an auto-elimination

Well it would also come down to:

Do the devs want to set it up
and/or
Is there a big enough demand

as for either of these, time will only tell

Yea, I feel like that is something that may want to be done until an official solution is made

:p I am not focusing on future events but what the game that will be introduced is.
 
ehm so I thought if we changed it a little so it is like a party, (PartyZone) maybe??

I'm not trying to be rude, but that comment was a little rude. I get you disagree but maybe be a little more nicer about it.

True, when I first started playing minecraft I loved spleef, until I found other servers but then finally I found this one off of my favorite youtuber who comes on here often.

Actually, some players really enjoy spleef so we could add this to our games and we could have more popularity and have the server grow. You have a very good idea here sir!
