I love the HG series. I have read it the most out of my favorite series. Basically what happens is they poison Peeta into thinking Katniss & the rest of the districts betrayed him. When they rescue him, he attempts to strangle her. I'm not sure if he ever fully recovers, but in the very end of the book thee NAR talks about them back in District 12, with children.
