Maybe for Downgrade, Murder, Massacre, and any other games in the future with stats and Upgrades. We could reset them like... Once a month or something. It would give people something fresh to do if they want to or Up their rank or just start over and see what its like again to have No Powerups (Ex. No Upgrades in Downgrade or Murder).

Yes please +1
It sucks looking at my stats because of how high they are lol.

I wouldn't mind this +1

The main reason why you probably won't be able to reset your stats on your own is because it wouldn't be fair to the people who've played for a very long time and have decent stats. They may not want to reset their progress and redo all of the work. When you start from scratch it's much easier to climb up the ranks due to you having no negative stats at the beginning. For example, say two people with 500 kills and 100 deaths try to compete for a higher rank. At this point they both have a 5.0 kill/death ratio. Person 1 doesn't want to reset their skills, but Person 2 decides to so they can get ahead easier. After the competition is over, Person 1 has 1000 kills and 250 deaths, but Person 2 reset their stats and has 50 kills and 5 deaths. Person 2 now has a 10.0 kill/death ratio, while Person 1 has a 4.0 kill/death ratio despite how much more work they put in than Person 2. Person 2 wins with far less work than Person 1. There are more factors that go into a few of the more advanced ranking system like Murder's, but this is essentially the basics of it. In other words, allowing users to reset their stats would punish users who don't, regardless of how much work they put into their stats. This simple concept applies to almost every stat-based leaderboard in any game that allows users to reset their stats. For these reasons I am against being able to reset stats yourself.

It would be a different story if everyone was forced to reset their stats at the same time on a monthly basis. If perhaps only the stats reset, and not the cosmetics/currency, then perhaps a monthly forced reset wouldn't be entirely a bad idea as we could have monthly leaderboards and/or rewards. Even so, we usually save that kind of thing for events so it might not be likely to happen normally, but still possible and definitely much more appealing than the previous options.

Ok yet look at it this way... a person has 2000 deaths and 1000 wins. It will take another 1000 wins just to get it back to 1.0 ? Also if the system did work like that it shouldn't unless resets were a thing. For example a new player won't have any chance to win rank one with the person's stats being 30000 wins to 10000 loses. While the new players is simply 0 to 0. Also I have played for a very long time and I can barely move my rank without it simply going down after I play. I don't think it is me because of how much I win every time I play I rarely die yet it still puts me lower than I was before? I believe this is due to the very large gap between ranks or my huge gap between me and other players in games played.

New players more or less work the same as a person who has reset their stats. They may find it easier at the beginning to jump forward through the ranks and surpass many people at once. When it comes to the ranks 1-100 in murder, resetting your stats or not won't exactly lessen how hard it is to rank up. Sure, you can erase your deaths and star a new, but the Murder ranking system is probably the most complicated of all of them, and has many other factors besides KDR. The other rankings such as pure KDR or Win rate apply better to the problem that I explained in my previous post. My explanation was only a general basis. I understand how hard it is to move your rank as I used to be #1 in both Murder and Downgrade. I came late to the party, as a new player, and still was able to rise through the ranks. Sure it got harder and harder, but it's still possible. You're not going to be able to go up the leaderboard with casual play. Stat-based leaderboards simply don't work like that. The problem that I described was only for if we were able to reset them manually at different times. Again, it would be much more different if it was forced upon us on a specified time interval. That would essentially erase any problems that come from being able to do it yourself.

Also, It's highly unlikely that winning makes your rank go down unless you're talking about the number ranks, in which it should go down in a sense. When it comes to ranks 1-100, people are constantly competing for the ranks. It's possible that while you're playing a game is taking a considerable amount of time, other people are winning multiple shorter games in that time frame, thus progressing them, and lower yours. It's not as apparent in the mineral ranks, but it still happens for the most part. Either way, winning does not make your stats go down.
