Hey, everyone!
As you all know, our #1 priority at PartyZone is to keep our players safe. Yesterday, one of our developers was removed from our team and his access to our services was revoked. It seems, however, that he created a backdoor into our services before his access was revoked and used it to copy website and game data from our databases to his own computer. He has not released this information, and we don't think he will, but we want to ensure that you are all informed of what information has been stolen. Below is a list of all of the player information that he has:
- About 2000 website profiles:
- Website name/username
- Minecraft username (if provided)
- Email Address
- Birthday (if provided)
- In game statistics (things that would go on leaderboards)
Obviously, we're not concerned about the in game statistics being leaked, since that would only really result in a web leaderboard. Our main concern is with the website profiles; specifically, the email addresses, as this is considered personal information. Again, we don't think that he will do anything with this data, but if he does, the worst thing that would happen is that you may get additional email spam. If he does leak this data, we have his information and will take extensive legal action.
This incident happened earlier today, and we have only just confirmed the data that has been stolen, which is what prompted me to immediately make this announcement. We have since secured our servers, and he no longer has access to them. We have already taken measures to further secure this information so that this will never happen again.
If you have any further questions regarding this incident, feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.
tl;dr
- An ex-developer stole website data containing email addresses & birthdays & usernames
- No sensitive data, such as payment information, was ever at risk
- This information has not been released publicly, but there is a chance that it could be, so we're alerting you all as a precaution
- If the ex-developer does release this data:
- You may get more email spam & have your birthday be public
- We will do our best to take it down & to take legal action
- We have taken the necessary steps to make sure that this never happens again
Thank you all for your understanding and for your support - party on!

EDIT: We've locked the thread since the ex-dev that we mentioned is making alt accounts and troll-responding to this post with them. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please feel free to email me or PM me on Discord.
