I'd like to start off by saying that this whole thing is inspired by a thread made by @ryyhm! This was brought to my attention by the lovely @Fox while we were in a call. Here's the thread ryyhm made.

With that said, I'm a huge fan of literature so I decided I might as well give this a shot. The challenge was to write a poem each day for a word starting with a different letter of the alphabet going A-Z. I'll be updating this thread regularly using spoilers to hold the poems starting tomorrow. Apologies if I miss a day or two, as I'm a busy bee!

bird
years that are time are that of possibility
that those dare fight
just the sky wallows at the thought
of the loss of flight

flight is the spread of wings and glore
to win in death
as the sound of wind rubs the floor
when wings screech at rain

cat
prowl does that with claws and teeth
that many watches wary
yet kindness does it bequeath
strength doesn't fail

one may see
that love is something one cannot beat
claws and teeth are that of defense
of those loved beyond the sealed fence

oki I did one! it's horrible, yes, but like this was a challenge so I shall continue. I started off with the bird one cus it's 2AM and I can't think of anything having to do with applesauce. I'll get that one out soon heh
