This is a just a little idea which (i think) is not to hard to implement (because there is no coding) and which could be nice for the creative.
You can get every single map that have been created on MCPZ since the beginning with the command /i filled_map 1 [random numbers] and, for example, if you check the numbers 1 to 10 you'll see that they are all blank.
So my idea is to change the data values of these blank maps to add special images on them and then use them as painting or else by using a thing called ImageToMap.
Examples:
- A 5x5 painting using 25 maps
- The Dizzeh profile pic turned into a painting.
Normally, a server folder should look something like this.
The "Data" folder is in the "World" one.
(It is actually a normal server with one world so i dunno how it works with more worlds)
So the only thing to do is that the owner/admins have to put the datas of the maps into the "data" folder to replace the old ones.
The paintings would be given by players and other players could vote for their favorite. The paintings with the most of votes would be implemented in creative.
There could be also some art competitions and the winner(s) could get their art as a painting on the server.
Of course normal maps which show your location will still work if you create some new ones.
I hope that I've explained well :l but if you have any questions or sugestions about this, feel free to reply.

- I took an image on internet
- I cut 100x100 pixels chunks of it with Paint
- I used ImageToMap Tool to transform the chunks into map data
- I placed the map datas in my "Data" folder itself in my [WorldName] folder itself in my "Save" folder itself in my ".Minecraft" folder.
- I went on my world, gave myself the 25 painting parts and put them in item frames.
