i read through the requirements and i saw that "two factor authentication and two step verification" isnt a requirement, I suggest that it is one, so that staff members's accounts are safer in the future. (im not trying to aim this at anyone, I'm just saying that accounts should be more secure)

It's not really something very important that you have to absolutely have. That's just a safety precaution kinda.

Although some may not find it necessary, it could be key in protecting an account. Considering recent events, I believe this would be very helpful to prevent unwanted activity on an account, and especially for staff members now that we know the damage that could be done. I think this is a good idea, that may not have to be a requirement, but a strong suggestion.

I'm gonna be 100% honest, that event was why I thought of the suggestion. I had sent an angry PM to a senior moderator, but we'd talked it out and I learned a bit more about the situation, so I decided to check the staff requirements and I saw it wasn't one.
I suggested this requirement because it's something that should be there to secure the account.

Sorry, I think it should be a requirement, people tend to ignore "strong suggestions"

This is literally why I suggested it -_-

I do agree! It would be really good to make sure things are safe. I have one question, what happened?

(Unrelated, just answering what Winter was wondering) I was told that someone hacked into Desert's account and started spamming their own twitter all over the place. The user has in fact been punished though.

On the topic of the thread I really think this should be a thing

I dont think we were meant to talk about this as posts about the situation would be deleted, but the hacker also said really racist things and banned me until the year 2038

Oh god. I hate hackers. Why have they got to wreck people's lives......

Probably for the best that this is implemented. We can't have some disgruntled user running around after hacking a staff account, taking moderation action on everyone who posts until stopped.

how is it fun though?!
I'm just grateful you weren't stupid enough to take it as sarcasm... despite it actually being sarcasm.

*glares at the hacker who hacked the staff member a few days ago*
