So I haven't played on the server in ages since it's been down and I come back and there are only 24 people on and 0 player murder. What happened, does just no one play anymore. All I want to do is play murder :(((((

I believe the compass in the lobby is glitched and displays 0 people on Murder rather than how many are actually playing it. There are very few people online at this time anyway though due to school.

*cough* due to it barely having players

Minecraft is dying as a whole, yet even if the largest server is losing players I don't think this one can become fully grown again.

Adding onto what Koraptor said, the Murder signs are also glitched as well as the compass. They display the incorrect amount of people in each server, therefore you have to keep joining each one until you find one with other players in it. This can be a hassal, but devs are working as hard as they can to fix these issues. There are quite often people playing Murder, so I’m sure it won’t be too difficult.

Ultimately, piggybacking onto what was stated earlier.

Minecraft as a whole is indeed becoming less popular. Factors like the recent updates, game competitions, and the players themselves getting older.

Players getting older naturally move on to other more "mature" gaming communities, like Overwatch, Grand Theft Auto, and Destiny 2.

YouTubers also play a slight part in popularity of games, making others also want to try them. YouTubers like IHasCupquake, DanTDM, PopularMMOs, and SkyDoesMinecraft solely based their original series around Minecraft. Overtime, they died out and Minecraft gradually got less popular along with them. Sky quit gaming, Cupquake and Dan split off to mostly other games, and PopularMMOS is still trying to keep hope alive with community along with Aphmau and other smaller communities.

Game Communities also fade into new popular games, Overwatch and Fortnite are two that are extremely popular still and have been thriving, pulling more Minecraft players into their own communities.

But it's fair to say that the MCPZ community was not what it once was, but a new era has opened up with our new owner, perhaps there is still hope for Minecraft, and everything will hopefully be fine...at least for a while.

Hey, later in the day there are usually more people on and playing Murder despite what the compass states. Off-peak hours like now usually don't have a lot of people on.

Just to let you know they might be from a different timezone btw
Anyway I guess your talking about GMT
