Is skyping (just talking) while playing murder ban able? Because people keep telling me that it is. All we are doing is talking about random things and playing the game.

In murder, if you are teaming in Skype/FaceTime it is not against the rules it is highly frowned upon.
If you're just talking about random stuff that isn't who the murderer or things like that, I think it's less frowned upon but still probably not encouraged because you can blurt things out.
No, it is not against the rules but is not encouraged.

Skyping/Teaming is allowed.

Thanks for telling me, I didn't want to get banned.

Question's mostly been answered but I'll restate the answer. Skyping a friend while playing Murder is fine, and not a bannable offense-- but please do not share your secret identities with each other: that's what's frowned upon. Thread locked.
