Not needed but I'm bored, so why not?

More fonts. Simple. I want more.

Many fonts actually cost money, which most people don't realize.
Helvetica: https://www.fonts.com/font/linotype/helvetica
Neue Helvetica: https://www.fontshop.com/families/neue-helvetica/buy
Segoe UI: (is actually free, although not on every system. Might add, but not a priority)
Proxima Nova: https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/marksimonson/proxima-nova/

I'm not rejecting the suggestion, again Segoe UI and many other fonts are actually free, so we may add more fonts. The part about choosing a default font will most likely not be added because it would mean dropping consistency between posts, though. Having a few posts with different fonts is fine, but having every other post in a thread with a different font would just seem weird.

Edited so that there's no more defaults, and I understand.
 
There is actually more fonts you can use, that are just not listed. Basically, you can use any font that BBCODE supports. Such as:
  • Verdana
  • Times New Roman
  • Comic Sans MS
  • Arial
  • Courier New
  • Tahoma
  • Century
  • Autumn
  • Lucida Console
  • Rockwell
  • Scribble
  • Trebuchet

Interesting.
Then this suggestion just is asking to add the others to the dropdown list.
 
In some places i agree but some of the fonts may be impossible to read so i suggest they only add in a few more.

They wouldn't add an unreadable font, but yeah.

ty. Of course, profile covers and profile pictures aren't necessary, they're just cosmetic.
 
There's nothing wrong with the default font. It's perfectly readable. Fonts that aren't sans-serif look stupid on forums anyway. It's quite nice to have quirky looking fonts in signatures but it seems unnecessary.

Never really understood why. Unless you're using someone's font in something commercial, nobody is going to bother wasting time and money going after you for not having a license. Also, Google Fonts? They're all open source and free so why pay for fonts?

Using that logic, why don't we just remove all of the fonts and keep the default?
This is pretty much for suggestions/signatures.

The fonts in the bbcode editor are default to every browser so they're not an additional resource. Removing them wouldn't make much sense. May as well have them there if people want to use them.

At least we could list the BBcode fonts that aren't in the current list
