Hi everyone, Disapp-Aiden here. Logic is a biracial rapper from Maryland who recently released his sixth studio album, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind."
GOOD:
Very good production, sonically very wavy and vibey, interesting concept.
Best songs:
- Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (9/10)
- Homicide (7/10)
- Mama/Show Love (7/10)
- Lost in Translation (9/10)
BAD:
Concept lost after a couple songs, lack of substance and bars. Was advertised as UPxBT but ended up basically BTIII.
Worst songs:
- Out of Sight (2/10)
- Pardon My Ego (3/10)
- COMMANDO (3/10)
- Icy (3/10)
- C*c**ne (2/10)
- Don't Be Afraid to Be Different (2/10)
- BOBBY (2/10)
Final verdict:
I love you Logic, but I think you need to see that not all criticism is hateful. It's trying to show you that you are able to do certain things better and that some things don't work objectively. Of course there is subjective aspects to criticism, but you can filter it out and see what you can do better as an artist.
You have showed us that you are still very much capable of making amazing tracks like COADM and LIT, but between these is an obvious drop in quality with much less substance.
I love vibing to the album, but this review looks at it objectively. I'm not asking Logic to return to the Young Sinatra style, I'm asking that he try to be the best he can be on each verse and listen a little when there is good constructive criticism. Logic's Confessions of a Dangerous Mind sits at a 4 out of 10 for me.
TRAN-sition, have you given this album a listen? Did you love it? Did you hate it? What would you rate it? You're the best, you're the best, what should I review next? Hit the like if you like, please subscribe and please don't cry, hit the bell as well. Aiden, Logic - Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, forever.
