I lied. I'm going to tell you how to introduce yourself both formally AND informally.
To a random person you've never met before, you would say:
안녕하세요! 저는 ____입니다. 만나서 반갑습니다.
[ann-nyong-aa-seh-yo! joh-neun ______eem-nee-da. maan-na-soh ban-gap-seum-nee-dah]
This is literally translated as 'Hello! I am ____. Because I have met you, it is nice to meet you.' But it actually means 'It is nice to meet you.' If you wanted to say 'My name is _____', you would say:
안녕하세요! 제 이름은 ______입니다. 만나서 반갑습니다.
[ann-nyong-aa-seh-yo! jeh ee-reum-un ______eem-nee-da. maan-na-soh ban-gap-seum-nee-dah]
To a family member who is older than you, (e.g your grandparents) you would say:
안녕하세요! 저는 ______이에요/예요. 만나서 반가워요.
[annyeonghaseyo! joh-neun ______i-e-yo/ye-yo. man-nah-soh ban-gah-woh-yo]

To a person who is your age or younger, you would say:
안녕! _____야. (만나서) 반가워.

You do not have to actually say '만나서' here, so I put it in brackets. Remember NOT to say this to someone older than you or a random stranger.
If you want to say your age, from most polite down, it would be:
저는 ______살입니다. [joh-neun ______sal-im-nee-dah]
저는 ______살이에요. [joh-neun ______sal-i-eh-yo]
나는 ______살이야. [nah-neun ______sal-ee-yah]

Korean, up until Sejong The Great's reign, had no writing system. Because so many people in Korea at the time were illiterate, people had to learn to write Korean with Chinese Characters, which are now called 한자 [han-ja].
When Sejong ruled, he was very intelligent and was one of the 8% of people who were literate and so he was pretty shocked when he realised that a lot of his kingdom couldn't even write Korean. So, he and a team of intellectuals decided to create a writing system that would be really simple to master and could be revised within 2 hours. This was called 한글 [han-geul]
At the time, this was the easiest writing system that wasn't the Latin alphabet, and within 2 years, the literacy rate went from 8% to 65%!
