-Launch Pads-
I am currently making a super shop, a shop which contains parkour unique heads and other items, anyways it is a 4x4 merge.

I have an idea for an ELITE perk, to improve the ranks of course, as VIP+ is highly perked already, where you can place down launch pads.

It will open up a menu where it will display in the chat, place down launchpad and right click where you want it to lead the player who steps on it.

I think this could create more creative structures!

It sound's cool! I'm just very hesitant because it could add lag? Anyway, +1 from me.

A few things:
1. You can make a 4x4 merge???
2. Relating to the actual suggestion, the way you can place it should be through something like //brush (where you use it while holding an item, and then you can rightclick to use it), except for instead of an item it's a block, and then after you use the command you use it on a second block, and then you can place the 1st block in a spot, and then the 2nd will be where you launch when touching the first block. Or you could just use a few special blocks so that players can tell that the pad is there.
Of course, this could be used for trapping players, so there should be a rule where you have to have a clear path to the spot where you launch.
3. There should be a thing where the person who placed can see the path, and a toggle (like /launchtoggle). The path is there so you could have cool visuals while you're launching, and the toggle so that people don't get trapped in a loop of launches.
I like this idea tho, would add a good perk to ELITE that is parallel to w/e in terms of usefulness. Now you can have a cannon, transport pipe, ect. +1
EDIT: Lag could be an issue. Idk how we would fix that tho.

Lag would not be an issue, I could possibly state that you have a limit to 15 per plot, the lobby has them aswell and they aren't laggy at all.

Oh true, that would not be a problem then.

EDIT: had to edit this tons of times to fix it

So... essentialy it's a warp? or a portal?
Like the launch pads in the lobby, except for they lead you to a set spot instead of just boosting u

Having launch pads leading players to specific areas could cause players to teleport others into lag machines, or traps which they cannot escape or type in chat to get help. If this was to be implemented, I believe that the launch pads should be the similar to the pressure plates in lobby, where it launches you. At least players will be able to see where the set location that they are heading will be.

An easy solution would be to ban lag machines (if they're not banned already) and kindly make sure all players know they can easily use /plot home to return to their plot.

Lag machines are usually made so that players lag too much, so they either crash or can't type in chat and are left on 0-5 FPS.

How does one get it so that they can't type in chat, when nether portals are deactivated?

Then make it bannable, like they already are plus ELITE members aren't exactly rule breakers in that sort of aspect.

Although, some people do buy ranks to use perks to break the rules, so.. Yeah i dunno

Lag machines are already not allowed. There are still some rule-breakers that have bought Elite, and although there are normally less, you can't just exclude them because they bought a rank.

Well, as Minecraft Coding is very well developed a way to sense where the path will go and see if it comes in a 10 block radius of possible "Lag-creating" items, this is possible by the way.

Oh, are you talking about restricting player's from having them in the first place, by just removing them from the player automatically instead of manually by staff?

So, sorry if I explain this really badly;

Player : [Places down launchpad] (The normal leap distance of the lobby ones, yet into a lag trap)
System : Failure to connect launchpad to super futuristic gravity pipes : Please make sure your launchpad is not near redstone or blocks to purposly make the rider lag!

(Something like that, yet shorter)
