Friendship Groups
~Iris' P.O.V~
Iris slid open the door, and closed it behind her. She turned around and looked over at her desk. A boy lay louched over it. A few girls looked on at him dreamily. Iris walked over to him and pushed his back off the desk so that he would land in her seat, but she then quickly pulled the seat away before he landed on it. She grabbed him by the collar once he fell on the floor and dragged him back up so that he sat on the end of the desk this time. Then she sat down.
"Hi Yuri. Fancy seeing you here." She teased.
"Sly move." He taunted.
"Everybody sit down!" She said politely and kindly, she patiently waited for the class to sit down. "I need all the desks pushed to the sides for today!" She smiled. The class started pushing the desks to the walls. Iris opened her desk and grabbed her bag from inside, then she grabbed the desk chair and put it on the top of the desk and scraped the desk along the floor until it reached the door with all the other desks. Girls were fighting over a space next to Yuri's desk. Bennett was confused at that- I don't blame him.
"OK everyone, This is Bennett, He's an exchange student in our class." Ms. Jade announced. She then smiled at Bennett. Iris smiled at Bennett, too, but he didn't see. He was too focused on looking around the class and seeing who was who, and what they looked like - calling them names by their personality (since he didn't know their names yet) would make it simpler to get to know people. (e.g, red-hair girl, blue-hair-clip girl, etc.)
Bennett stood at the front of the class looking at people while Ms. Jade talked.
"OK, So as we do at the beginning of every year with any new students, get in to friend groups, everyone!" She clapped her hands and everyone scuttled across the classroom to their friends / friend groups. This included Iris and Yuri in one group, as a pair. Girls glared at Iris.
"OK, so I now need someone from each group to put their hand up if you would like Bennett in your group!" She smiled yet again. Bennett looked out. Almost every group put their hands out. All faces gleaming at him. He looked at all the groups.. 3s, 4s, 5s, too much- plus, he hardly knew anyone, and some looked like they were best to avoid.
Bennett scanned the room of people. Then he saw Iris and Yuri. Iris' hand is straight up and she was beaming. Then words flashed in his head. "I'm Iris!" "Bennett? I like that name!"
Bennett pointed to Iris' group. "Is it OK if I join that one..?" He asked, some girls gasped- Another boy to fangirl over! AND HE WAS HAWT! NOW THERE'S NOT AS MUCH FIGHTING-OVER-YURI-GIRLS! YAY!
"Of course!" Ms. Jade smiled. Yuri grinned and patted Bennett on the head as he went over to them. Iris gleamed. "Yesss!!"
"Ok, That's just about time for lunch- you guys spent half the lesson louching about.. Yuri." Ms. Jade joked. Yuri rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry I was late to the lesson, Anyway, Everyone's in, I'll send the register down, but otherwise, off to lunch all of you! Be sure to welcome Bennett!"
Sorry this was a bit shorter. It wouldn't be normally, I just really wanted to check out the hub and stuff on PZ! ;3
