I've got 3 ideas for Murderer Kits:
  1. The Infiltrator: Description: Fit into the crowd with your very own Sword disguise Ability: Spend 3 Emeralds to disguise your sword as a gun, disguise disappears after use of weapon
  2. The Spy: Description: Mess with the bystanders' ideas, by stealing peoples identities right as you kill them Ability: When you kill someone automatically steal there Identity at the cost of 1 Emerald
  3. Pickpocket: Description: Get rich quick, by pick-pocketing your victims Ability: Steal victims emeralds
I feel like they're fairly balanced, and i would like to see a kit system added

1 - I'm not a fan of this idea, it would give the murderer too many more advantages. So a -1 on this one.

2 - I actually love this one! It's a good class idea and can mess with the minds of bystanders! +1!

3 - Meh, not sure how to feel on this one. I don't think it's necessary, although I like it. So a close +1.

1. -1 a little too over powered
2.are you talking about the identity swap because that is already a thing? -+0
3. I don't know about this one as having more knifes or emeralds doesn't help as much as people think yet for now I like the idea so +1.

-1 Murder Mystery Is Not A PvP/Faction Game, rather a game where you are given a rank, (bystander, bystander with a gun, and murderer, ect) and they are given a job, and also when they buy a stone, iron , or diamond sword they keep it so, as explained- 1
 
I'm gonna have to -1 this im afraid. The idea of murder is to keep it as close to the original version as possible whilst it being unique to the network.

Kits would be a little overpowered for each role. Also you are able to change identities anyway.

The pickpocket idea isn't really a fair kit. It would make players mad and create arguments between each other if the user kept targeting another using revoking any emeralds they have and preventing them getting a weapon. It can be used as a teaming advantage too with a murderer and a bystander.

The infiltrator would be overpowered to for the murderer.

I like the thought you have put into the ideas however I don't think they provide the correct experience for murder.

I mean as everyone says, it really does not fit into the format that Murder is trying to accomplish.

For reference, the murder minigame is based off of the murder game in Gmod. The two games have a lot in common, random disguised names, random colored players, collect five weapon pieces for a gun, etc.

The beauty about this version is that java is one of the few, arguably gateway programing languages- it really is not horrible to develop in, to add new features with, and minecraft/bukkit/spigot makes it even easier to develop and launch features for a minecraft version. While the lua programing language isn't terrible either, there is already SO MANY Gmod murder servers. But this was the first Minecraft Murder server, at least the first that got remotely popular.

The point is, the additions made, aka, changing identities, and buying more knives, while (I think) they are not in the Garry's Mod version, the gamemode reserves the feeling of Garry's Mod murder. With these suggestions in play, well, I think it would be more of a mayhem gamemode than a Murder gamemode.

To be clear, these ideas aren't bad. They just don't fit into the whole scheme of Murder. Maybe try suggesting these as part of a new gametype suggestion?
