I've always wondered the difference between a biscuit and a cookie. Which one is better, a biscuit or a cookie?

Okay so I'm pretty sure cookies are more moist (I hate that word urgh) and more chewy and stuff whilst biscuits are more crunchy and thin and look a lil bit more professional because they keep their shape in the oven. Personally I love both but cookies are definitely my favourite :p

Biscuit = Proper English
Cookie = American English

I'm not a fan of American English but i think they got it right, Cookie sounds better then Biscuit.
(That's how I always saw it Awesomelandd) Just decided to look it up today.

In a cookie, you get sugar and chocolate, in a biscuit, its only sugar, and cookie dough is in both, COOKIEEEE

You do get chocolate in biscuits.. chocolate hobnobs, chocolate digestives etc..

Isn't a biscuit a food, too? I think it's confusing to have two foods called the same thing xD

I mean.. I kinda just think of it like
If it's like a "Rich Tea" it's a biscuit which you can dunk in a cup of tea then it's a biscuit.
If it's chocolate chip or can have chocolate chip then it's a cookie.
