Hey PZ community! I have a question about exploits that come from a friendly environment client such as optifine! Recently, about 2 weeks ago a user that is in the top 100 ranks for murder (Not going to say his name) got banned for using an exploit using optifine that caused him to be able to change the opacity of the walls and make them transparent. My question is, can it be appealed and unbanned or is it permanant. Also yeah thats really it, shoot me a message If you know.

In optifine you're not able to physically change the opacity of blocks, optifine is only used to increase game performance (and gives you the ability to zoom in). If the player was able to do this they're using some sort of unfair advantage to make their game play different to everyone else, which isn't allowed. The player may appeal at this link if they feel they were unfairly punished, however, I cannot state the length of the punishment.
