Are transgenders considered the gender they were born at birth, or considered the gender that they changed to?
What if you had a gay transgender character, would they be into what gender they were born as or would they be into the opposite gender they were born as?
It's a weird question, Ik. I wanted to know for any future OC's I may make.
Hey. Thanks for asking the question so nicely! Don't worry it wasn't a weird question and a lot of people are confused by it. I have a trans friend and I've asked these questions too. So:
1.
They would be identified and talked to using pronouns related to the gender they changed to. If a girl changes to a boy, it's a he, if a boy changes to a girl, its a she. Some trans people accept a lot of people are confused by this and some are usually comfortable with you calling them a "they" or "them". It depends on the gender they changed to.
2.
It depends. Specifically gay? There is a few options that can branch into other options, so here;
A.
Gay could be, for example, from the POV of a boy who has changed into a girl:
-They like trans girls
-They like girls
This would not differ a lot if it were a trans boy. It would just change the word 'girl' in the options to 'boy'
B.
Bisexual
-They like trans boys and trans girls
-They like boys and girls
C.
Pansexual
-They like any gender
I'm not too sure for this question as I havn't asked it, but my guess is:
From the POV of a trans girl:
Gay:
-Likes girls
Bisexual:
-Likes boys and girls
Pansexual:
-Likes any gender
Like I said I don't know this question but this question is just a bit of a guess
I don't think I helped but hope i did
