sorry if I just killed you with that opening
I thought I'd write a fun little guide to share some of my favorite ways to kill my own boredom on the PZ Forums. This does not apply to the server; just the forums.

I thought I'd write a fun little guide to share some of my favorite ways to kill my own boredom on the PZ Forums. This does not apply to the server; just the forums.
- Write a forum story. Even if it's something short and even if you don't think you're talented at writing, it can still be relaxing and fun to write a story on the forums. If you really want to go big, you can ask the community for characters and enjoy letting others do the work of character creating for you.
- Make an Art Giveaway. I've only done this once, but I've already had a lot of fun doing it. This is a great way to let someone else give you an idea of what to draw. It also gives you a fuzzy feeling in your heart when you give them the finished piece.
- Resurrect old threads. This is something I've only started doing recently -- I like to go through the old-ish threads in categories like Forum Games, Off Topic, etc. that are about to go cold. It just might make someone's day when their dying thread is revived by you and it starts to get more attention! (Just make sure not to necropost. I think threads are auto-locked after two weeks now, but be careful either way!)
- Give birthday wishes. On the "Members" tab at the top of the forums, there's a little box on the right side that contains a list of members whose birthdays are today (whenever that may be). Even if someone's inactive, feel free to shoot them a quick message on their wall, so if they ever come back they'll read it. I guarantee you'll make them smile when they read your good wishes!
- Make suggestions. Maybe you have an idea for a new feature in Murder, want a balancing update in Downgrade. Or maybe you'd like to suggest an entirely new minigame! You can do all of this and more in the Suggestions section of the forums. It's a lot of fun to think of ideas to improve the server and the community. (Follow the rules in that category, of course!)
- Create or view an AMA. If you'd like to open yourself up to others and help get yourself out there more, you can make an Ask-Me-Anything thread in the AMA category. It's always fun to answer questions asked by members of the community. Or, you can ask questions on someone else's AMA! (My AMAs died faster than Vine.)
- Welcome newcomers. I always enjoy heading over to the "Introduce Yourself" section to welcome the new users to the forums. It's a fun way to meet new people, and let's be honest, it's never fun to join a new social website and no one knows you're there. Put a smile on their face and offer your help! They'll appreciate that. I know I did.
- And finally... Write a guide! I'd never done this before today, and it was actually strangely fun to write a guide like this to share some of my experience and wisdom(?) to others. (Back in my day, sonny...)
Hey, you made it to the end! That means I'm not a total failure at writing guides, right...? Or maybe you're looking for the TL;DR version. Alright, fine, silly goose, here's your short version.
If you've got a case of boredom, kill it with fire.
'Kay, that's it. I hope this helps some of you. Until next time...! Ciao!
