Creative Griefing Solution Ideas

We've all run into griefers, correct? Here are some ideas to stop them from doing any harm!

1. Limit a max-block-break every 10/5 seconds to locate the griefer.

2. Limit Lava Blocks on a plot.

3. Make an alert system if somebody is bypassing the lava limit.

4. Give the griefer a warn for griefing.

5. Update the alert system so the person who placed lava so they know who the griefer is.

This is lots of work for the admins. The way we have things now is easy. You just do /report create and then a mod will come and look at it. Mods have their own way to see who griefed it. That way is pretty much simple and easy. Can it be advanced? Yes it could be but this idea just would take lots of time for the admins to implement. Plus say someone didn't know about this change and they wanted to place lava for a build they would be alerted for griefing when they didn't. People should still be able to use lava for builds. As I said on a previous suggestion like this that there should be a menu whenever you go to do /plot add that gives you certain permissions that you can give to a certain players based on placing lava and water or building or breaking stuff like that. The other thing is, griefers shouldn't be warned as they are putting serious emotional consequences or stress on the players plot they griefed on. They should stay being banned for 4-5 days,1 or 2 weeks. As for the max build and block thing, I like it but make it either 3-5 seconds because having a very long period of time where you can't build or break stuff is kinda annoying. Plus as I said with the lava thing what if someone doesn't know about this and they get in trouble when they weren't griefing they were just building or breaking things on a friends plot or their own plot. I really like this idea and I'd like it to be added but as @DemonWolf_ said, it is a LOT of work for the admins. I think they've got things to take care of already and we will stress 'em out even more if they were to add this. For now, we'll stick to /report create and i'm sure a staff will take care of it. Keep on suggesting though, you've got good ideas!!

1. That's pointless and it won't really do much as they can wait and then do it.
2. I mean, that's okay but it needs some work.

4. I think the griefer punishment system is fine with a temp ban for a couple days, no need for a warning.

No; greifing is a common rule on most servers, and there's a good reason for that - They can destroy hours or even days of hard work within minutes. Banning them for a few days is a very acceptable punishment.
