Aiden flopped out of bed. He walked over to his desk and took his laptop out of his drawer. Yawning, he quietly set it on the table and plugged in his sound card, mic, excetera. He lifted the screen up, and strangely, the computer was already on...
"I swore that I shut it down in the night..." he mumbled. "Whatever."
The clicked the small grass block on his toolbar, then clicked "Play." What server should I go on? he thought, not noticing how abnormally fast his computer was.
"Hmm... PartyZone, choose you!" he whispered. The chunks loaded, and while waiting for that, he opened Teamspeak. Every single person that was on the server was in the Massacre zone...
"I guess everyo- wait, weren't these people banned? This one too, perm banned... strange." He said, confused as to what was going on.
He went into the zone, and it sounded like there was a lot of commotion. He went back to Minecraft, and the same people that were in the Massacre Zone were in the lobby. The amount of people in there was insane. It probab- no, definitely exceeded the total amount of players that could be in the lobby. There was no compass to go to a minigame, and no book to change lobbies. He tried to log out, but the "Disconnect" button wasn't there.
"WELCOME..." a loud voice was coming from nowhere but everywhere. "-TO THE ENDS OF YOUR LIVES, PUNY INSECTS."
A voice screamed, "Who are you and what did you do! No hacker can do this!"
"I AM YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE, YOUR GREATEST FEAR..."
Aiden thought of a story his dad told him about a ouija board...
"I AM..."
No... no way... impossible... it can't be... why US? Stay calm, Aiden... but... it could only be...
"The devil" both Aiden and the voice stated, completely in sync.
People laughed, "Yeah, right, you're probably some teenage hac-"
"FOOLS. I AM SIMPLY PROVING HOW WEAK HUMANS ARE. THE CREATION OF YOUR "GOD" IS ALREADY DEAD MEAT."
"No." Aiden said. "I panicked, and thought that this was real. In fact, I was wrong. There is no way a creature from another world could come and just do this. There is someone posing as that monster, I assume he's just using that façade as cover for this."
"WOW, YOU ACTUALLY FIGURED ME OUT." said the voice. "EVEN THOUGH I'M JUST A HACKER, I'M NO ORDINARY ONE. I NOT ONLY INVOKE FEAR ON PEOPLE, I CAN MANIPULATE THEM. FOR EXAMPLE..."
There was a loud scream and bang, then nothing.
Somebody disconnected.
"What happened?" people asked... "Did someone... die?"
"YES, PUNY GAMERS. YOU ARE AFRAID OF USING HACKS. I HAVE HACKED THOUSANDS UPON THOUSANDS OF COMPANIES WITH INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY... NOW I CAN FINALLY MURDER PEOPLE WITHOUT ANY HASSLE..."
Evil laughter enshrouded us.
"DEFEAT ALL THE STAFF AND BRING THEM BACK TO THEIR SENSES, OR DIE."
