a starless night
Yesterday I more or less lost a friend.
This is in real life, not on Minecraft, whether that's worse or not that's up to you.
I'd been friends with her for almost three years (We became friends in Year 8, I'm in Year 11 currently).
We very close in Year 8 and if I hadn't of become friends with her then, I wouldn't be friends with some people now.
The reason why we're no longer friends is because we drifted.
It was a slow and gradual drifting but the drifting's done and we're basically no longer friends.
I would want to still call her my friend but I never see her so I might as well say we're no longer friends.
But what I hate the most about this is because I knew.
Deep down I knew our friendship was never going to last.
Now she no longer sits at our table, now she talks to her other friends, now I don't think we'll be in touch anymore.
She was definitely one of my closest friends and I'm sad to see her go.
But we're just not that similar anymore.
She is loud and outgoing.
I am the shyest person you'll ever meet.
She is indie and no longer listens to Paramore.
I prefer rock and listen to Paramore.
She is becoming/is popular.
I have only six friends.

This isn't just me who lost her as a friend. Everyone on my table at lunch and break has lost her.
As we stayed together in our awkwardness, she has thrived and made many friends.
I'm not saying she shouldn't be making friends, I'm just saying that be careful, you could lose some of your closest friends.
I don't think there is a way to revive the friendship, we're not in any of the same classes and we haven't been for two years.
Now I sit here, typing in the dark, wanting to tell you.
If you think you're drifting with a friend, one you truly care for.
Hold tight, don't let them go.

Thank you for reading.

I nearly cried reading this.
That is an award in and of itself.

I understand. You'll find that you're fine without her, because she doesn't define who you are as a person. It still feels bad to see them go, though.

Yesterday I told a sad story.
Today I'm gonna write a funny one about my best friend.
This is the story of how I became friends, then best friends, with one of my favourite people in the world.
I'm going to call her L, don't know why I'm just going to.
So let's start, shall we?

Our friendship began in reception, first year ever at school.
We were both four years old, lil' babies.
I have no clue exactly how we became friends, that was eleven years ago.
But I do remember we were in a friendship group.
There was four of us, me, L, LW and P.
I was best friends with P and L and LW were best friends.
Together we were a gang for about four years maybe?
It all changed (for the better I'd say) in about year three.
We were about eight years old maybe, this is all guesswork.
But anyway, it was about year three and P was moving schools.
This made me very sad, I was a ball of sadness.
Of course, you'd think, just hang out with L and LW and stay friends with P.
Well, that never really worked out because deep down.
I didn't like LW.
No clue why I just didn't.
So new plan, become best friends with L.
How I did it was kinda horrible but still hilarious.
It was the start of break I'm guessing when I confronted L with a question.
'Do you actually like LW?'
It was something along those lines anyway.
L answered with something like.
'No, not really.'
This shows a lot about us, be friends with you for a couple years then instantly admit we don't like to you to one another.
So anyway I asked something like
'Should we run away from her then?'
Yes, that is right. We spent the entire break running away from LW.
It was not in the slightest subtle.
We stared at her until we made eye contact.
Then we ran away from her as fast as we could.

This was the big step to us becoming best friends.
I'm still friends with L, eleven years.
That's longer than some of you being alive.
I know she is definitely a friend that will last.
Although it was horrible how we became best friends.
I wouldn't be best friends with her if it wasn't for that.

So this is story number two about my friendships.
I might keep this up and tell you about my other friends.
Thanks for reading, once again.

"eleven years"
was it at the end of the year
I believe we became friends at the start of reception (September 2005?)

Aw, I'm sorry for your loss. One time I grew away from one of my friends, and we officially "unfriended". However, 2 years later, we became the best of friends once again. Miracles happen, you know.

Sorry! :c

This is sad brb crying
