I just got banned for 24 hours so why when i was making appeal did it say like 3 months

Helpers can’t ban users for over a day. If what you were punished for required a ban for longer than a day and no moderators were on, a helper could ban you for a day. Later, a moderator would extend the ban. This could explain why you were banned for one day and later, 3 months.
