Chapter 1
It had disturbed him for hours now; what was that noise? He couldn’t figure out what it was nor where it was, but something about it enchanted him, pulling him towards the sound. The sound was so crisp, more eerie than anything else he had heard before. It kept him up, almost depriving him of his sleep, locking him far away from what he wanted and currently wished for most.
He lay there for hours, with his eyes wide open, however his brain was almost warning him not to listen, but to finally let his eyelids drop down, sending him into a sleep. But what was the point to need to give in to sleep, to live his boring life? He knew his brain was messing with him, it must of been because he was sleep deprived he assumed.
He finally started to rest, where ideas of sleeping for hours, calmy made him smile, which was a feeling he hadn’t felt in years. It was a nice feeling though, he lay there as a faint smile came to mind, but he knew he wasn’t alone. He heard the sound getting louder, as he lay there with no protection
for himself. It got louder, until he could feel his earbuds burst into laughter at his pain, he kept resisting, locking it away from his fears, his most private memories. He couldn’t let them in, it in, whatever the sound was. He could feel something in the back off his head screaming to be let free. Its yells were such a sound that they weren’t possible to be put into words, nor even the most horrid of which.
He woke up, after he had had a traumatic night. He looked around at what was around him, as he felt weaker and weaker, until he felt strengthless. “It must be a nightmare” he whispered to himself, in a weak voice, almost trying to not let the sound hear him.
Soon after he realised, a nightmare could not be this terrific.
