I felt my head hit the cold, oak wood floor. Then the bed covers fall onto my back; I scrambled up and my feet were freezing. Like standing on a polar iceberg.
Dreams hurt, Dreams kill. Dreams can corrupt your soul with darkness and betrayal, evil and nastiness. Never say yes. Do say no.
I'd been having these nightmares for months now, each one dragging longer, the further we got into the year. There was always a demon, a DARK demon, with three gashing teeth. Each with the blood of a thousand men... Like others had seen this. I needed help, Possibly the wizard who lives in the east?
I grabbed my shovel -For precautions- and ran to the house, the door was locked, maybe he was out? I have also become weak the more the dreams came. I say Dreams, Nightmares is a better word. I heard mumbling through the trees, I followed the mumbled cursing. It led to a bearded man, in a blue cloak.
"Wizard!" I shouted, "Thank goodness! I thought you were gone!"
"Go. I am busy" he replied bluntly.
"What is of the matter, Wizard?" I said back, scarcely.
"These flowers," he said, he then turned and pointed to three, big, navy-blue flowers sitting on the top of a hill. "They only bloom every 100 years."
"Well, maybe I could help you?"
"Oh, that would be much appriciated!"
I ran off, I grabbed the shears that lay in his hand and grabbed a flower, to my dismay, I hate heights. but, I bounced on some green-leaf flowers to get up the hill, which, and I quote, was quite fun!
Once I had gathered all three, I headed to the house, where the door was now unlocked. I walked in and put the three saplings on the desk.
"Sir?" I said to the Wizard,
"Ah! Hello, Young one, you have brought me my flowers?"
"Yes, I have." I nudged the saplings.
"Amazing! what is your name?"
"My name is Kile." I said back to him.
"Ah, Kile! I have heard of you. You look distraught. What is the matter?"
"Lately I have been having a lot of nightmares"
"Hmm.." the Wizard rubbed his chin.
"What has been happening in the dreams?" he said.
"Well... theres always this one monster..."
"Mhm..?"
"And.. Ive been feeling weak lately.."
The wizard started to become pale.
"Also, Ive been getting no sleep.. I feel like eventually I will be locked into my dream, and I will not be able to get out"
"Oh no..."
"I think your possessed by a dream eater"
I closed my eyes and took it in.
"In other words, a demon."
