The sky was a void, black and starless that night. In the cave on the mountaintop sat a young girl, looking, eyes glistening up at that very void; she turned to the beastly figure beside her, and said in a soft tone:
"Mother... where have the stars gone?"
The figure seemed to smile kindly, replying,
"They're tired, love. They need their rest now and again. Don't worry, they'll wake up in time for tomorrow night."
The little girl smiled gleefully,
Another girl with pink hair strolled up and sat by the young girl, and put her arm around her. All three were content.
Meanwhile, in another country sat a boy with hair that was rather fluorescent - the smaller part beyond his scalp was red, while the bigger part was green. He stood facing a rather muscular beastly figure, which seemed to be a sort of fight.
"Come," the figure ushered, "Take the first blow," his voice was as deep as the sky that night. The boy snickered, running at the beast as fast as his little legs could carry him, only to find that in a flash he was caught by the beast by the scruff of his neck's collar.
The dragon laughed contently, "Boy," he said in a kind tone, "That was good.. That was good."
In a completely different continent sat a boy with another beast, seemingly having a brighter figure than the other beasts. The creature spoke; "You believe you are not, but I'm sure the others feel the same way, child." It spoke kindly, the boy looked away, mumbling, "How can it be me if I'm so despised?" The beast did not hesitate to answer: "Because humans see people by their family and not personality, that is what humans are."
In the west, a girl wandered into the plain, beaten and bruised. The beast of hers shook his head with a smile upon his face, "What did they say this time?" She turned away - the creature asked again: "What have they done?" "They said I should go to my grave like my parents, and be with them in hell." The beast nodded. "Do not let them talk you down." He ushered the girl to him, her hair shining navy. The beast sat around a clear spring, the girl then took a long drink from it as the beast cleansed her wounds, "Never." It told her.
"HYA HA HA HA!!" Yet another boy laughed, his voice in a deep french, he stretched his arms behind his back, seeming content. The boy's hair was like a flame. His beast's figure seemed more red than black. The boy summoned a flame to his fist and waved it around. His dragon spoke, "Child, do not be so reckless." The boy turned around to face the creature. "Why?" The boy asked. The beast replied, "Heed 'Do not play with fire', son." The boy turned around and continued walking to what looked like a heated mountain in the distance. "I know, I'm being careful, and I'm improving, Father." The beast nodded. "Ok, Child. I believe you."
Sitting cross-legged and holding his hands together with his 2nd fingers pointing up, on the edge of Antarctica sat yet another boy whos hair was coated in frost. His beast was behind him. "The night brings a chill," the beast told the boy, "They are training, Mother..." the boy replied in a focused tone, "You have seen them?" The beast asked again. The boy nodded briskly. "They're well. Especially Hem, by the looks of things--" the boy opened his eyes, his eyelashes coated in the frost too, yet the harsh environment didn't phase him. He took his hands apart and pushed himself up.
"Child; I must tell you;"
The beasts brought their heads in to the moonlight.
