Of course the majority of us would love to become a helper.

What I find frustrating is that 7-9 year olds are lying about their age and successfully applying.

I wish for staff to say a certain question to the person, and if they can't answer, then they won't be accepted.

The Question should be:

Who is the creator of the server?

Of course this is a trick question.
Even though I mentioned it.

If they are experienced to go through that, try:

What is Downgrade/Murder Mystery/Creative?

Bam.

This could help.

@Amandq @Annaliegh @LeilaAndStitch close the thread please, I don't want any replies regarding this.
It could reveal the answer to the questions. ^ > ^

I don't necessarily agree with you Bruh_ItzWolfy, about the 'locking thread to avoid answers' reason, because those are obvious questions, if you have been on the server you would know what those games are and hopefully know who the founders are/were. But anyways, I do agree with you about asking questions in the applications. They could ask questions that players normally ask staff and also to see if the applicant actually knows a thing or two about the server. But the examples of question you gave are too easy.

Emo, uhh, some people can lie about their age...

I'm aware that people lie about their age, but I can assure you that any current staff member right now isn't below the required age limit. Senior Moderators have their ways of determining a player's age. If you have valid evidence of a staff member not being the correct age feel free to contact a Senior Moderator or Kirstree.

Just out of curiousity, What would you call a 'valid evidence' ? You mean like, a screenshot where you can see them telling their Real age?

7 threads and counting.. *cough*

Proof you have of 7-9 year olds successfully applying is..? I havnt seen one and I've been here three years.

Its a written appication, not an interview. If they miss out a question or don't answer it right, their application is denied - no matter how flawless the rest off the application is.

Why should that be a question? Just because they know who created the server you think they're qualified to ban people?

What is Downgrade/Murder Mystery/Creative?
Those are games. I dont understand why explaining those three are games in a minecraft server would allow them to be a helper? Have you even seen the actual helper questions? I'm guessing not.

The real helper questions put you on the spot, asking you what you would do in certain cituations, dilemas, reports, etc - so no, i don't think changing up the entire application to ask what a few games are and who created the server would "stop 7-9 year olds getting on our staff team" (they dont anyway, but ill give you the benefit of the doubt until i get a reply.. if i get a reply), in fact, it would just multiply the younger audience's applications by 10.

Actually, from my understanding the application is just an insight on who you are, if you're a good applicant and how you'd react to daily situations. From there, you can either get denied or have an interview via TS if the team believe you're a good applicant and based on that you'll either get promoted or denied.

It's not a test, as you're describing the application. Meaning, it does matter if the application is "flawless" and one question has not been answered "correctly", but it also matters how the user acts around other platforms. (in-game, TS, forums, etc..)

I understand that. But even so, why would we ask them about the games and who the original owner is?

From what I know anyway the TS interview was only to go over everything. If you attend the TS interview then you get helper I believe, and anyway that also shows that no 7-9 year olds have ever been in the staff team. They judge whether they think theyre younger or older in the app, then hear their voice in TS.

If you attend the ts interview then it's still possible to get declined. + I was never agreeing with the original thread, I was just clarifying what I quoted from what you posted. :) I do apologise if I caused any conflict/ confusion bb
