Like, staff should remove them as they’re useless and farming messages, yet staff can’t delete them if they are the ones doing it like the person is coming back to pointless alerts thinking it’ll be feedback but no, just some staff member or member spamming the same reply as above!

This is done because it’s alerting someone that their thread has already been made, and that it’s a duplicate. Players posting this helps inform staff if it’s a duplicate in a slightly faster manner, so they don’t have to look into a few suggestions to make sure it’s definitely a duplicate. Players quickly direct them, and they later confirm it when they lock the thread.
It’s not that common for non-staff/players to repeat it after a few replies, unless they didn’t see the message or it’s been a while. From what I’ve seen.
Staff repeat it officially before they lock the thread, instead of just locking it without a word so the player wouldn’t know who locked it and the reason why. Because sometimes it’s not very clear, even if someone states it earlier, because players can also be mistaken. It’s also confirmation that the player above who said this, is correct.

I don’t really see how alerts are bad either? I mean you only get one alert from the first message since you last checked the thread, so it doesn’t spam it. Unless the players are all quoting your thread/added on comments, which I highly doubt every player that comments on it, will do. Possibly another alert from someone putting a reaction on, but no more. So that’s two alerts? How is that bad? I doubt it’s clogging your whole alert system. Also they’re not pointless, it’s informing you of something on the thread, and it directs you to a place where you can share your own thoughts about the same matter.

Well, then the forums is just a spam place to just be replying again and again it makes no sense and no, it's only PZ that has this.

well goodbye for reals now

Thank you for your suggestion! We are delighted to inform you that your suggestion has been reviewed and Will be implemented in some degree.

The idea in general will hopefully make the forums a less spammy place with more meaning.
