~Pesky's POV~
"Who are you, may I ask?" Aiden looked the girl in the face.
The girl had white hair. She hid her pointy ears behind her hair.
"Hello..?" Aiden repeated. Pesky and Gabby ran up behind Aiden and looked at her in the face.
"I've been looking at the crows. You've scared them away," The girl said.
"Why? Why would you be looking at birds?" Pesky looked at her suspiciously.
"I've been drawing them, of course. They're spectacular creatures."
"What..? But how did we scare them away if we're on the gro--"
"shHH!!" The girl put her hand up against Gabby's mouth. She got in front of gabby like a starving rabbit who found a carrot.
Gabby struggled. Suddenly, Gabby shoved the girl away. Her hair went over her face a bit and she landed on the floor, revealing her pointy ears. Particles flew around her. Her eyes were brown - Dark brown.
"Like I said - We've found our girl." Aiden looked at Gabby and smiled. Gabby honestly didn't know what she'd done - If it was bad or good.
The girl looked up at them, The closed her eyes.
"...If you're going to end me, please do it quick." She opened her eyes slightly and looked at them. She stood up and put her head down.
"W-What..?! Why would we kill you!?" Pesky looked distressed.
"The scientists."
"Scientists? The ones that are looking for your species..?"
"Yes. We are called the Reulos.. I am Kia."
She opened her eyes fully and looked at all three of them.
"AAAAAAAHHH!!" There was a loud shout behind them.
Kia didn't turn around.
~Bryce's POV~
"Owwww... My head hurts." There was a groan behind the four of them.
"You three."
They stood to attention.
"This is my friend, Bryce. He's.. let's say.. Clumsy."
"I'M NAWT CLUMSY!"
"I DIDN'T EVEN BRING YOU HERE!"
The three of them blocked out the screaming and shouting and looked at each other in confusion..
Kia sighed.
"You were looking for something, weren't you.."
Bryce looked down and scratched the back of his head.
"Randie.." Bryce looked at Kia.
"Randie will be fine. He's a strong kid."
"I KNOW! But his family is still in the nest!"
Bryce's ears twitched like a rabbit's nose.
"Mind me asking, but who is 'Randie?'" Aiden intruded. Pesky looked over Aiden's shoulder and Gabby peered around Aiden's arm.
"Randie is my friend, He's really nice. He saved my butt once. Tough lil' guy."
"Mhmm." Kia agreed. "His family was in the nest when it was raided. They didn't get out in time. The scientists came in as soon as Randie's brother left the door. Randie was getting firewood outside the nest. The hoard of stampedeing Reulos drove him back here. I'm looking for him."
~Spryggin's POV~
Randie.. Kia.. Bryce... Everyone...
Everyone.
I could be used for this.
Could this ACTUALLY BE Randie..?
"Hey.. Randie.."
"Hm?" He didn't turn around.
"....Where were you when you ran into the stampede of Reulos coming from the nest?"
"I was with my family. I got out first. They forced me."
Pause
"That's not true, is it, Randie?" I crossed my arms and covered my pointy ears. I de-activated my Magic which stopped my particles flying around me. Randie brought the cart to a screeching halt.
"Smart. Very smart."
I stayed quiet.
"You're one of them.. Those creatures.. We have captured the remaining 4 creatures that were in the nest."
Randies family.. I thought.
I stood up.
"Are you saying.. You've already..."
"We're testing."
"TESTING!? ARE WE SOME KIND OF THREAT TO YOU!?" I screamed at the robotic machine. He looked exactly like Randie.
"You are posing a threat to us as of right now."
I started to breath deeper.. I strengthened my grip on my arms while they were crossed.. My body felt weaker. "You're trying to take me too.." I got so weak I had to sit down.
"Isn't it obvious," He continued. "We plan to take every one of you this way--"
"WE'RE CALLED REULOS!"
The pain gripped me with fear. It held me in its fist.
I fell over onto my side. i curled up in a small ball. I managed to push myself up, get up, and run out of the cart. My eyesight was naughseated (i cant spell very well sorry)
I can survive..
I leant against a tree to recover my strength. I looked back and saw the Randie-Lookalike turn into a boy. About my age. He leant against the truck, looked at a peice of paper, and headbutted the truck. He punched it, kicked it, and before I knew it....
I'd blacked out. I'd fainted.. He was gonna find me. he was gonna kill me. I wouldn't be able to see my friends again. The ones I classed as my family..
Wake up..
Please..
I didn't mean it..
They made me do it..
The twitching..
The constant pressure..
The medicine..
My brother...
