Pretty simple.

My plot is literally surrounded by 8 unused plots, which I could utilize if the players aren't using them or don't play on the server anymore. I know this isn't just me, loads of other players are genuinely annoyed because they can't finish a project with an inactive user to blame.

I'm thinking that if a plot hasn't been edited (that means built on, destroyed, interacted with using commands, etc) in a year then it would automatically clear and remove the player as owner of the plot, thus making it open to claim by neighbouring players.

Pros
Players can finally claim the plots around them that aren't in use.

Cons
Players that haven't been online for a long time and wish to play on Creative can't have their plots if they've been claimed. However this could be resolved easily with /plot auto. It doesn't really matter where your plot is unless it's next to another of your plots. And since most inactive players are defaults with only one plot, this wouldn't be the case.

You may have to wait a whole year for an inactive plot to become available. However if someone believes if they should be able to claim an inactive plot they can talk to a staff member online.

I love the suggestion but however there are more cons than pros.

Basically you can always ask a staff for a plot that hasn't been used for typically 5months+ and you can always move plots with the help of a elite + copy pasting your plot to where another plot you can claim is available.
There are many ways you can avoid this, so basically I'll be voting -1 until I hear others opinions.

I like this idea, though under a few different conditions:
-The player has a certain amount of playtime that shows they aren't/weren't active on the server. This of course could only be done if /ptime was fixed, as it would be unfair otherwise.
-The player hasn't logged on in a while
-Plot has pretty much nothing on it
-There's a system for people to keep their plot from being disposed
Otherwise, I'm keeping neutral on this. It could be implemented but under strict conditions.

This technically already exists, except you yourself may ask staff to check the players inactivity and they’ll hand it over to you if they think they’ve been gone for a long enough period of time. This would be a handy though, and easier for staff.

But If you automatically disposed inactive players plots, they may come back after a year without knowing, although it’s highly unlikely it happens. It’s better to ask staff then have it simply disposed of for no ones use at all, just in case they do decide to come back. Plus they may have put a lot of effort into the plot and it may all have been removed, which is unfair to the player who worked hard on it and came back with everything gone, without anyone even claiming it.

I’ll stay neutral until I hear more opinions though.

I like almost never play on creative (like once per year it would seem) and I would dislike having to redo a small project I was working on for that day as well or simply get a new plot or plots and mine are all centered in one area and I can easily go to another.
