Why does it take so long for an application to be answered?

We need time to discuss and decide on an application. Something like accepting someone onto the staff team doesn't happen instantly. We have many things to do before accepting/deny an application. On top of that, multiple people apply on a daily basis which makes it even more time-consuming. That is why applications take as long as they do.
