People turned and looked at him. I overheard a murmur 'Poor kids'
Red's eyes started to droop. His Mom and Dad were gone. The walls, a pen. Humanity? Cattle.
People seemed so small compared to the titans. The constant thought of your limbs being ate off, and being swallowed whole made each and every one refugee determined.
"Guys!" Glowyy ran over with some food.
"Hey, you got the food?" Asked Ethan, rubbing away the tears.
"Yeah.." Replied Glowyy. Red sat down. "Here." He handed the loaves out to them.
"The poor Scouts.." Mumbled Glowyy.
Red suddenly felt a flash go before his eyes.
he fell backwards onto the wall.
Him and Ethan left their Mom for dead. Cowardly. Unlike them.
"I'm a coward!" Shouted Red loudly as he got up. "What!?" Screamed Ethan.
"WE'RE ALL COWARDS!" he shouted again.
"WHAT!?" Shouted some of the crowd. Red stepped backwards. Two men ran over and kicked him in the legs. They were Scouts - They shouldn't have been doing that. Ethan and Glowyy helped Red up, though Ethan kicked the two scouts in the legs. "YOU STUPID COWARDS!" He shouted. "YOUR TRASH! YOU'VE DONE NOTHING!" The two scouts kicked him in the legs. 4 more scouts came and dragged the other two away, Red, Ethan, and Glowyy overheard what they were talking about.
"You can't go kicking people!" Shouted the youngest one.
"He called us cowards. I'm simply defending out title"
"Your not!"
"How?"
"If anything you're making it worse - We're heroes. Not villains"
"Fine."
The two who had been kicking Glowyy and Red walked away. The other 4 scouts came over "Are you three alright?" "Yeah we're fine." Answered Red. "Teach your friends some manners, though"
"Diamond? Oh - Sorry. His parents died because of the titans when he was about your age." Said one of the Scouts. "Oh - Uh- Mine and Red's parents died... Today" He answered. Crossing his arms and leaning forward a little, "I see. I am sorry" Another replied. "It is not your fault" Said Red. "So - this Diamond guy, he's out age now?" Asked Glowyy. "Your right" the older Scout answered. "He's in training. Bottom of the class. But he's determined spirit gets him to places. Believe it or not, he was the top of the class, the rest were a bunch of dumb butts" "I see... So... at OUR age now, we could go and train?"
"Your right!"
"THEN SIGN US UP!"
One year later.
The refugees who escaped wall Rose, Orcana, and Charn were forced to work in the fields. Ploughing for food. Not a single refugee enjoyed the suffering. Eventually, The three became old enough (they were a few months young) to go to Scout Camp, where you would train to become a scout, Sure enough, The Diamond guy was there..
Red, Glowyy, and Ethan discussed to make friends with him. Not to cause any trouble.
"Hey!" Said Glowyy, "Hey." He said back. "What's up?" "Uhh- Just wondering if me and my 2 other friends could be friends with you-- I mean--- Want to be friends with all three of us?" Stuttered Glowyy. "Alright!" Said Diamond. "Sweet! I'll go get them!"
Rollcall was in the evening, the commander just wants to see if we are 'wimps' as he says.
"DO YOU LOOK ME IN THE EYE AND CRY!? YOU SHOULD! IF YOU DON'T, THEN YOUR THE BRAVEST SOLDIER I'VE EVER SEEN!!!" He shouted. "SALUTE!" He shouted.
