Wherever needs be.
I felt bad about cancelling the hunt, so I made this. It is basically the hunt but all the characters are vampires, and i have used the same characters from the hunt.

People say that mythical creatures aren’t real. Lots think that’s true. That’s false. It WAS true. Other species built their civilisations, and hid due to the power humankind was gaining. These civilisations were powerful, and could easily take down humankind. Some had more powerful tech, some used magical items. Like dwarves. The dwarves mainly inhabit mountains, and forge relics of unfathomable power. They are the greatest blacksmiths of all time. Or the centaurs, who are hunters, living in the deeps of woods, along with elves and faeries. Pixies and gnomes lived in grasslands and enchanted forests, in peace with each other. Or the kelpies, shapeshifting beings that hide in bodies of water, along with salamanders, elemental beasts that live in the depths of caves and waters, usually along with the merkind. In the snowy alpines of the Himalayas or the alps or the Poles, lived the yetis and the bigfoots. Only one of each species has been seen- Bigfoot and the Abominable Snowman. Some… aren’t so nice. Like the werewolves, or the Chimeras, or the redcaps, or the trolls. But one empire stood the tallest… the vampires.

The Hunted

The river was calm. The water rushed along the rocks, gently touching their blunt edges. Little fish swam carelessly through the water. Everything was perfect for them… until a spear pierced a fish’s heart. Fish on the end, the spear was lifted up by its wielder. She lifted the fish to her pale nose, sniffing in the smells, some water getting on her black-ish brown hair. Echo Thorn got two more fish on her spear, her eyes showing her determination as she jabbed the tip into the water at lightning speed. She sauntered back through the forest, searching for one of the others. A girl was in a tree, swatting at bees. Her black hat fell from her long, wavy hair, and then she did. Her dark eyes were covered by her hat, and her fair skinned hands lifted it off, sweeping leaves off her grey shirt. Echo burst out laughing, and soon after Alaina joined in. They both stopped. Something was running towards them. No. Someone. Floyd ran at them with a knife, his copper coloured hair suddenly getting in his eyes, causing him to hit his face on a branch.

‘What are you doing?’ snickered Alaina.

‘Shut up…’ Floyd snapped angrily, flicking dirt off his grey shirt.

‘You call yourself a vampire?’ Echo countered. A sudden rustle came through the leaves, the trees swaying. There was a red blur. A small creature, a beast a bit taller than a gnome, stood there with bare feet, showing dry, wrinkled feet and 5 inch long nails. Their torn grey shorts stopped just below the knees, and his blue coat and long, point red gnome hat, wielding a sword with a miniscule wooden handle and a curved steel blade. Another, identical one came from the forest, with a long wood handle and a scythe blade wrapped onto it. A 3rd came on, wielding an axe. Redcaps. Hundreds of the beasts rushed out of the forest, and started to pounce at the 3 vampires. As Echo unsheathed a small double-sided knife and cut down one of the beasts, before blocking a strike with a long spear and slicing upwards at the redcap, dropping it. Floyd pulled out a flintlock pistol, quite large for the old gun, and cocked it, firing multiple times. A scythe slashed out at his feet, and he used his superior vampiric strength to hurl it into another redcap. Alaina threw her hair backwards, grabbing two, lengthy knives and slashing through redcaps like a plough through crops. There were too many, and the murderous creatures pushed them further back, and depleted their space rapidly. Suddenly, a massive light burst through the enemy forces, redcaps being burnt to a crisp in front of them. 3 vampires appeared when the light imploded, one with tan skin, quite petite, and curly, braided dark brown hair down to her back. Marianne Fuerte’s hands unfolded from their fist forms, creating a barrier of blurry, static-like energy in front of the group. Blonde hair swayed in the wind, belonging to Alex Silver, as he pulled out a greatsword from a leather holder strapped to his back, throwing the sword through 4 redcaps at once, using a chain attached to the handle to pull the sword back and twirl it in the air, before spinning it in a curve and dropping 5 redcaps. The 3rd’s long blonde hair flowed back over her shoulders in a straight line, her blue eyes hidden by her red sunglasses, her fair skin bright and her blue dress quivering in the sudden wind. As Charlotte Wildelfa made her hands in finger gun shapes and pulled them back, blue symbols glowed on her index finger, middle finger and thumb, and water burst from the ground, throwing redcaps back and swallowing others in the water. The 6 warriors now tore straight through the redcaps, and soon after, about 200 corpses lay stationary on the wet grass.

‘Welcome to the party, pals,’ Alaina joked cheerily, but confused expressions flowed from the other 5’s faces. ‘Die Hard. It’s a film, the humans made it.’

Kane stepped out onto the concrete floor, dust thrown by the wind getting in his eyes. He was wearing a leather tunic, brown shorts torn and ripped, sandals dirty and tough. His brown hair was thrown back by the sudden blast of wind, before perching back on his head. His opponent came out. They had brown hair, wearing fancier clothes than they, a soft, leather tunic with some iron crafted into it, a velvet cape fluttering in the wind, leg pads strapped over their thighs and shins, their shoes soft and warm. Their pale skin and green eyes were quite piercing. Kane chose his weapon of choice from a rack nearby. He had 3 options: sword, axe, or dual daggers. He took the axe, and their opponent took a greatsword from their much wider variety of better looking weapons. It was crystal clear how Kane was meant to lose, just for the entertainment of Emperor Sentus and his wife, Alfactra. The horn sounded, and Kane trudged forwards. Food was thrown at him by the crowd, his face now covered in some sort of condiment. His opponent, known as the Death Bringer (actual name Claritus), ran forwards, his face covered with cockiness. Claritus swung his sword’s handle, smacking Kane in the face and throwing him down. The swine was toying with him, entertaining himself. Claritus swung his sword down, stabbing into Kane’s left hand, blood slowly gushing down his hand. A kick to the face. A punch, another kick, a stomp to the chest. Kane had had enough. Claritus was about to swing a final blow with his sword, but Kane leapt up, kicking out with his legs to hit Claritus in the face. He was thrown backwards, and Kane pushed at the ground with his palms, throwing himself up. Kane dodged a sword swing, elbowing Claritus’ gut and kicking his ribs, twirling in the air as he bounded upwards and kneeing Claritus’ face, a crack echoing throughout the arena. Kane blocked a swing with his axe, and threw the sword backwards. Claritus got what was coming to him. An axe in the chest. Dozens of men came in, putting Claritus on a wooden stretcher type contraption. As they left, the emperor nodded to a man wearing a bright blue tunic and red trousers, wearing a red bandana around his face. The man in blue and red raised a bow and fired a small arrow into Kane’s neck. A sleep dart. The arrow was short enough to do no fatal damage, but deep enough to cause the effects. Kane fell to the ground, his eyes getting blurrier, and blurrier… Then, Kane Seir woke from his dream.
