Rejected Backup discord

What would "Backup discord" be?: This would be the same thing as the pz discord but for when something like this happens there is a backup discord. it would be

How would this help?: For those who were in the pz discord would join the back up server so they can keep Updates about the main discord for if something like this happens again.

Who would set it up?: Gaurav would create the server and the discord managers would set it up.

Pros:
  • Would Help to make sure members are up to date on whats going on with the main discord.
  • Would be there for if/when something happens to the main discord.
  • Would let players know whats going on (for those who join it)
  • Would help prevent staff members and discord staff members to not get spammed with question about what happened
Cons:
  • Staff members would still get spam
  • Not everyone in the main pz discord would join
  • Not many people would know about it unless it was advertised on the server
  • Would be a struggle to Moderate both chats all the time

I dont think this is necessary, it’s a whole other chat to moderate just in case something bad happens. Players will still be able to find what happened to the discord via the forums and server, as well when it’s back up.

some people don't have forums and/or are not able to get on the server.and maybe Have it where you couldn't talk unless something happens to the main pz discord to make it easier

I doubt many people would just join a backup server- what happened was completely unusual and it’s very unlikely it’ll happen again, so there’s not much point having it anyway.

What even happened?
 
I don't see this happening any time in the future and due it already being dealt with this is unnecessary, well the "back up" discord could always be for staff only until and unless anything happens to the main one as a back up, but if players have access to both of them it would be really difficult for the staff to moderate both of them as Nashi said.
 
Thank you for your suggestion. At this time this suggestion will likely not be implemented
