Changing the amount of forum points you need:

This would decrease the amount of applicants and show more dedication, As it is pretty easy to get 25 forum points. Maybe make it 250 trophy points needed. I know this seems like a lot, but almost requires people to get planted into the community. Also making it so you HAVE to be on the forums for at least a month.

If you mention the application publicly:

This makes it easier to narrow down applicants and shows that the person who applied is mature enough to keep something private.

The cool-down

A ton can happen in two months. Changing the time to one month wouldn't change too much in the long run just allowing people to apply 11/12 times a year as apposed to 5/6. People can change very fast.

Thanks for reading this!

You're proposing to slim down applicants and then increase them by a large x2 multiplier. You seem to be contradicting yourself here a lil' bit ol' buddy ol' pal.

In addition, mentioning your application publicly already destroys your chances. The upgrade of the trophy points requirement could be good however it's quality > quantity as usual. We always read their forums activity and how they portray themselves over purely glancing at points they could've got through like spammimg etc.

There are a lot of pros and cons about this suggestion. First, 250 trophy points is a little to much. Maybe there are players that have played on the server when it first came out, but never went on forums and wanted to apply for staff. This wouldn't be fair for them. Meaning that it would probably take an extra month or so to apply.

But, I don't really know. This is my perspective for a player.

Overall, not a bad suggestion! :D

Thank you. :p I didn't know that publicly mentioning an application reduced chances... that does not need to be changed then. :)

250 is fine. It's so easy to get trophy points as we get given lots

Yeah,
And thanks guys for the good points!
However I'd go a bit higher tbh. In fact, I think there should be specific trophy points needed.

You have at least 50 posts and a 0.3 like ratio!

These are the points that the average person who has been around for a month's points tbh, so yea lol I think specific points would be good. I'd make my own thread, but this is similar so I posted here.

Hey Emerald,

Few things
•Having 25 forum points shows that you have dedication to the forums and server
•Say if the Applications where public if say @Iruu was still Elite+ or whatev and she applied and someone did a similar application to hers and she got accepted what would this mean to the player copying/re writing the application would they get accept aswell?
•They may also just copy each others idea's

Its easy to get forum points

And I honestly dont see how your other points have anything to do with my suggestion xD

I do not think it is necessarily beneficial to make the trophy points any higher than it is already, we do want people to apply which is why it is the way it is now.

As Unstitched said stating that you have applied especially in front of staff does effect your chances of receiving helper as it looks immature.

I don't understand your last point; it is already two months between application, if you would like to describe this again it would be appreciated.

It would be changing the time to one month, as it says. :3

The point of leaving two months between application is so that players can change within these months and fit the criteria that we want.

Yeah. I understand why I just was coming up with a few suggestions. I'm fine if these are not implemented.
