So, I was writing stuff for my Roleplay character on another server when I remembered sneezing earlier due to allergies. And I wrote what came to mind. I gave my character a reason to hate allergies and love it later and then hate it again because why not. I thought it was pretty interesting so I decided to post it here. So here are my unfinished notes:
--------------------
Wren Odvos - The Wild Young Elf
Physical Description:
Messy black hair that is slightly gray on some sides, Chin curtain beard, Dark blue eyes, the eyes are shaped as though they are wide open.
-----------------
Other Notes:
-Allergic to roses. This allergy cost him his first supposed job. The interview went something like this:
A quiet silence went on in that room. All that could be heard was the employer's pen jotting down information.
Wren was nervous. "May I come in?" He asked as he stood there holding the door open.
The employer looked up, looked back down and disapprovingly sighed. Not another teenager he thought to himself. The last one was unbelievably annoying. He decided to get it over with.
"Come in" He said, "and close the door behind you."
Wren closed the door and took a seat. Wren didn't know why he had to come into an office that looked like a place where they employed bankers. And then he suddenly felt as though someone funneled dust into his nostrils.
The employer had asked the first question. "What is your name?"
Wren tried to pay attention to the employer but his nose was hogging it. He answered quickly and with difficulty,"Wren Odvos, sir."
The employer wrote on the paper. And asked him the second question,"What would you do if you saw a thief robbing commoners and running away?"
Wren hastily stopped himself from sneezing. He felt incredibly relieved but he quickly remembered what he had to do. "I would......run towards him quickly but quietly so he does not know I'm there and I'd arrest him before he does it again," He said.
Although he did not show it, the employer was surprised and impressed that the boy wasn't completely stupid. He wrote down on the paper again.
Wren's nose bugged him again and now it was stronger. He noticed the small pot of roses behind a box of tissues. He now knew what the nuisance was. He had always sneezed when he was near roses. He could not stand it any longer. He thought, one sneeze and that would be the end of it all.
The employer was asking a third question,"In case of an attack, what wo-"
"Achoo!!!!!! Achoo!!! Achoo!!!!" A barrage of mucus came hurdling towards the employer and onto his clothes. He jumped up with his dark brown eyes wide open and as he leapt up, he screamed, "Leave now!!!!"
Wren grabbed a couple of tissues and cleaned his hands right after he sneezed. He stuffed them in his right pocket. "I'm very, very sorry, sir," He apologized with a sad look on his face.
But the employer didn't want to hear any of it. He was far too busy being angry at the blasted teenage elf, who ruined his light blue shirt and his light brown jacket, and rubbing off snot from his clothes.
He said it again, this time it was quieter but more threatening,"Leave now or else I'll do it myself."
Wren understood clearly and he wasted no time in leaving. He closed the door behind him and breathed a heavy sigh. And he felt as if there was an anvil on his heart. What would his father say now that his own son has embarrassed him so greatly? The son, who he expected to be a City officer and boasted to his co-workers how he was going to be his successor and that he'd be the best, had just ruined his father's dreams. Wren couldn't blame his father. He never wanted to be an officer but he never had the courage to speak for himself and he led himself through all of this by nodding to his father's every wish. He just wanted to explore the world and build a life for himself. He never liked to be in one place all the time and he usually let his curiosity loose.
He sighed once more and he left, wondering what his father would say.
