Why can only ranks be staff? I think this is very rude since some other people can be really great staff even without ranks..

It shows dedication to the server and restricts the influx of applications, meaning we can respond to each one faster and in more detail. We have never denied people without ranks would make good staff members, that is not the reason for the restriction. Hence why I don't consider the requirement rude in any way, it's just how things are.
