Godfish22 POV (Part 9)
Things are appearing, mostly my friends. I'm sure I'm not dead but everybody here was there when the explosion went off. Some people walk forward and some walk to others. Why are they walking forward I wonder. Ohh signs! Maybe this could explain something. The signs say, ‘Hello, I'm the man upstairs, and yes I can see you’re a bit in trouble. Well I can get you out, at a price. Answer my riddle and I can recreate everything you had before the clan wars and erase the Hunger Games footage for good. I can even save any people who died BEFORE you read these signs. Here it is; a rooster lays an egg on a roof, which way does the egg roll. Go into the portal you think is correct. Ohh and some portals you will find are trick portals. You all need to go in the portal to be safe. Anyone who doesn’t choose will be lost to you. Don’t even think about staying here. This room self destructs after an hour. Good Luck! –The Man Upstairs’.
Well ok, was God listening? Nonetheless we have no choice but to trust the signs. One problem, nobody has the foggiest idea. People are saying things like ‘which way does the roof slant’ and ‘what shape is the egg’.
There are benches to sit on and a few plants but that’s it. Many people are giving up and just saying ‘we have another hour to live, meh’. I won’t give up; we haven’t came this far just to lose to this one simple riddle.
Some people want to speak to me but I'm not letting them. I'm putting my full focus on this riddle. Others are trying but they aren’t thinking about it. Hmm… A rooster lays an egg… left or right?
Only 10 minutes now with no prevail, nobody has gone in yet but people are getting ready to. We don’t want to lose friends so many people are going in as groups.
2 minutes now “DON’T GO IN!” I've shouted. “One minute, then guess.” Wait hang on, could it be? No! It’s so simple! Roosters don’t lay eggs. The one portal everyone discarded as fake (the ‘It doesn’t’ one) is right. “STOP!” I shout as Liv nearly guesses. “It’s the ‘it goes nowhere’ one, roosters don’t lay eggs.”
There is a mad for the portal after that and with only 30 seconds to go Fox and Dizzy (the last people) go in. With one quick salute to the sky I follow after them.
The Aftermath (Part 10)

It worked! Life has gone back to normal. People can still remember the hunger games but nobody remembers what happened with the clans… except me. I don’t know why but I can remember every sight and every sound from the clan wars.
I see Lil talking to Liv, Fox and Dizzy and she looks quite frustrated. I go over and she says “Ahh God, you remember the clan wars from like 5 minutes ago don’t you?” Like it’s normal to ask that. “Yes I reply, but they may not, and how do you?” She sighs and says we are all mental but also asks to have a word with me.
“He said we should all forget it.” I say to Lil. “I know but I haven’t.” Lil says back. She carries on and says “Anyway, I've got something to as…” I cut her off and apologise for being a jerk when I was chasing Gigo. She continues, “As I was saying, I've got something to ask you.” “Yes.” I reply. “If I asked you to hmm… I don’t know say, come to the premier of insurgent at MCPZ cinema. What would you say?” Knowing exactly what she really wants to ask I say. “I would love to.” She knows I know what she wants to ask. She kisses me lightly on the cheek before leaving and saying “See you there.” #BestDayEver
