*science face on* Zombies are driven too eat flesh, because the "Virus" would cut out all logic, and drive the "Host" too transfering the virus, this is proven through the similiar "Zombie" bug that develops in a birds stomach, and is pooped out, hence forth it gets eaten by the snail, and then controls the snail, then forces it too get eaten by the bird
