Yesterday I killed an endermite (it was definitely one) and it didn't give me a prize or even a notification. It was on the coal block and nether brick bit outside murder, so it couldn't have suffocated, nor drowned, it wasn't in the lava and there wasn't any other people around. I know you probably can't do anything because I guess I have no proof of me even finding one.
