She was invited to resign, yes, and, given current circumstances, she decided it was in everyone's best interest to agree rather than just be demoted anyway -- because, let's be honest, it's not as though it would have mattered an awful lot to the people in charge if she had refused.
Don't worry about it, you'll find that absolutely nothing about the way the server runs will change other than that it now functions entirely without a soul. We've made it to the big time folks.

As for the livestreams, I'm unsure what their plans are for that channel. I may do something on my own channel, but it won't be exactly the same as it was before. I wish I could do better for you guys, but I think this is going to be for the better in the long run. Also, @MeBashButtons, if you ever find that you're in need of a little Gamerness, you know where to find me
